"Disgraced detective Louis Scarcella lashes out in court "

candal.

candal-scarred former NYPD Detective Louis Scarcella got feisty Wednesday when he was questioned in Brooklyn Supreme Court as part of a convicted murderer’s bid to receive a new trial for a 1996 conviction.

Lawyers for state inmate Eliseo DeLeon tried to tie the shady cop to their client’s confession, which they claim was fabricated — but Scarcella wasn’t having it.

“Why are you asking me those questions?” he shouted at defense attorney Cary London during the tense questioning.

The controversial cop maintained he wasn’t involved in the DeLeon investigation “to the best of my knowledge” and said he never even saw the case file.

He also said he “didn’t remember” being in the room when DeLeon was read his Miranda rights and questioned at the 79th Precinct. But London showed the court a Miranda card with Scarcella’s name on it.

“That’s not my signature on the card,” Scarcella insisted but then admitted: “That’s my handwriting. I printed my name on it.”
